What “Final” Means on Ballrecord Game Pages
Ballrecord · live scores · methodology
A score can be correct in the moment and still not yet be the finished record.
In the notes
Live is provisional
During a game, lines and counts can move quickly. Ballrecord refreshes live contest state throughout the day, but the durable box score is reconciled after completion.
That is why the site states that scores are unofficial until final. It is a precision promise, not a hedge.
In the notes
After the final out
Once a game is final, the linescore, batting, pitching, and available play details settle into the game page. Historical imports follow the same spirit: corrected source releases can replace prior snapshots without duplicating the contest.
